I came to know Christ as my Savior at an early age. I've always had a love for the Lord, learning and for school. The Lord gave me the desire to become a teacher when I spent a summer in the Philippines teaching children in a Christian day school and in the villages surrounding Manila.
I've dedicated whatever abilities the Lord has given me to serve Him in Christian education and have taught several elementary grades over the years. One of my greatest joys as a teacher is having a small part in teaching children to read.
I enjoy singing in the choir and teaching in Vacation Bible School. I serve on the Board of Directors of the WV Learning Disability Association, and am a member of The International Reading Association, Appalachian Bible College Ladies Auxiliary, and I represent Grace Christian School on the Cabell County Reading Council. Occasionally, I also teach as an adjunct professor at Marshall University, Mountwest Community College. I occasionally serve on accreditation teams
I attended Bob Jones University, where I met my husband of thirty-six years, Chad.
We have two children, Rebekah (Williams) and Stephen, both of whom are GCS alumni.
Chad and I are also proud grandparents, of ten! Rebekah and Ben are the parents of seven "grand-littles" - Matthew, Andrew, David, Welsey, Jackson, Stephen, Emily, and Chloe. Stephen and his wife, Kim are the parents of three children - Lexi and Liam, and Gavin
